79% Rotten Tomatoes

Critics Consensus: Faithful to the source material without sacrificing its own cinematic flair, Justin Kurzel’s Macbeth rises on the strength of a mesmerizing Michael Fassbender performance to join the upper echelon of big-screen Shakespeare adaptations.

Guardian Review – Peter Bradshaw 4 / 5 stars

Macbeth review: Fassbender and Cotillard full of sound and fury in significant Shakespeare adaptation

This is not the traditional stage Macbeth, crammed into claustrophobic interior spaces. It is conceived in (and almost dwarfed by) a vast Scottish plain, like Peter Jackson’s Middle Earth.

The Highlands are recast as a glowing outback in this extremely stylish and sometimes inspired new version by the director of Snowtown

Guardian Review – Caty Enders

Meru: the documentary that best captures ‘the PTSD’ of high-level climbing.

The documentary about the struggle to conquer the Shark’s Fin on the northern India peak was long in the making – but offers a rare glimpse of the psychological torment of climbers insistent on pushing themselves to their physical limit

As the daughter of the assassin, she understands Bond in a way most others cannot. As Bond ventures towards the heart of SPECTRE, he learns a chilling connection between himself and the enemy he seeks.

Guardian Spectre Review Peter Bradshaw October 2015
James Bond is back, stylish, camp and sexily pro-Snowden – 5 / 5 stars

Daniel Craig has grown into the role of the British spy with flair and sang-froid and this inventive, intelligent and complex new outing showcases him brilliantly.

65% Rotten Tomatoes

Critics Consensus: Spectre nudges Daniel Craig’s rebooted Bond closer to the glorious, action-driven spectacle of earlier entries, although it’s admittedly reliant on established 007 formula.
