n the year 2154, two classes of people exist: the very wealthy, who live on a pristine man-made space station called Elysium, and the rest, who live on an overpopulated, ruined Earth. Secretary Delacourt, a government official, will stop at nothing to enforce anti-immigration laws and preserve the luxurious lifestyle of the citizens of Elysium. That doesn’t stop the people of Earth from trying to get in by any means they can. When unlucky Max is backed into a corner, he agrees to take on a daunting mission that, if successful, will not only save his life but could bring equality to these polarized worlds.

68% Tomatometer – “Review on Rotten Tomatoes”:http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/elysium_2013/ ‘After the heady sci-fi thrills of District 9, Elysium is a bit of a comedown for director Neill Blomkamp, but on its own terms, it delivers just often enough to satisfy.’

Peter Bradshaw - “The Guardian”:http://www.theguardian.com/film/2013/aug/22/elysium-review - Thursday 22 August 2013 ‘Neill Blomkamp has followed his much admired District 9 with another sci-fi apartheid parable whose dystopian design is at first startling and brilliant, but sags into being a shoot-‘em-up spectacular in which ideas are irrelevant.’
