Seasonal General Assistant

Required straight away, we’re expecting a busy few months ahead!

Hours per week: 37.5 Salary: £6.50 per hour - to be reviewed after 3 month probationary period. Accommodation: There is no accommodation with this post. Start date: March, as soon as possible.

Thorney How A busy rural hostel in South Lakeland with up to 50 beds in 12 rooms with a full catering offer and licensed premises. We offer accommodation, food and drink for events, parties, weddings as well as individual travellers, walkers and groups. We need an enthusiastic energetic team player with the ability to perform general hostel duties including front of house, service, cleaning, some basic catering and bar work.

Situated off the beaten track directly on the Coast to Coast pathway and under Helm Crag in Grasmere. Thorney How is a listed building sitting in 2.25 acres of grounds, so you may even find yourself working in the garden. Must like cats, and of course people, we also have hens, ducks and sheep! It is useful to have an interest in the outdoors and to have a good sense of humour.
