Thorney How welcomes new members to our team

Food News Staff

Here are at Thorney How we are delighted to welcome three new members to the team ahead of what is expected to be a busy summer season. Paul and Hannah joined us as a couple back in March and have been hired as full-time General Assistants, although Paul will be getting his hands dirty in the morning as a trainee breakfast chef. We can’t wait to teach him the tricks of the trade!

Callum will also be joining us as a General Assistant and will join Paul and Hannah on a specialist training course undertaken by Carvetii coffee, where they will learn to become fully skilled baristas. As with all employees at Thorney How our new recruits will undergo extensive training to ensure they’re up to our very high standards. We pride ourselves on offering a fantastic service for all visitors. So whether you’re staying overnight in one of our cosy rooms or you’re just passing through and fancy a quick pit stop and a bite to eat you can be sure to experience friendly, welcoming staff and scrumptious food to boot.

Enjoy our licensed bar and locally sourced produce

Using locally sourced produce we create tasty dishes around the clock. Kick start your day with a hearty full English breakfast or opt for something lighter like cereal or jam and toast. At lunchtime, we offer a packed lunch service, perfect if you’re heading out on a walk! And in the evening we serve traditional classics like homemade soup, steak and ale pie, Cumberland sausage and more. On Fridays, we make and eat pizza, all freshly stonebaked to perfection!

In the evening guests can unwind in our licensed bar. We serve a selection of ales and spirits up until 11pm every night and there’s a Happy Hour 6-7pm every night, including weekends! If you’d like to spend the night at Thorney How then do not hesitate to check the availability of our cosy accommodation. Single rooms or group bookings are available.

So what are you waiting for? Pop in to Thorney How next time you’re passing and say a personal hello to our new recruits, they can’t wait to meet you!
