No Man Is An Island Thorney How - Friday 18th July – 8.30pm
A WALK, SONGS & TALKS for MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS
by STEVE WHARTON
Along the walk I’ll be staging free, mini-gigs with a talk running between the songs. Although my songs are not overtly about mental health, they do link with themes I’ll be covering in the talk and there’ll be time for discussion afterwards. A couple of the events will also feature some guests, playing music and adding special themes to the evening.
James Thurlow certainly has a mission. In support of “JDRF”:http://jdrf.org/ - a charity which funds research in Type 1 diabetes, James is running the Coast to Coast long distance footpath, east to west as fast as he can.
See how fast here: “http://www.howfast.org":http://www.howfast.org
One of the members of the Thorney How team will be headed out on hills, slightly further afield than usual in aid of Cyclists Fighting Cancer and Lease of Life.
Her challenge is to climb “Ben Nevis (Lease of Life Facebook Event)”:http://www.facebook.com/events/262782737163600/?ref=nf You can also follow Lease of Life on “Twitter (Lease of Life)”:https://twitter.com/leaseoflifeorg.
